Our Classes

We teach all of our classes with the focus of emphasizing classical technique, while still teaching artistry in dance.

For our 2-3 year old dancers, we combine music, creative movement, pre-ballet and tap to develop strength, agility, musicality and timing.  A great way for your dancer to  begin exploring the art of dance!

For our 4-5 year old dancers, we combine creative movement, pre-ballet and tap to develop strength, agility, musicality and timing.  A great beginning to a life-long love of dance!

Students will learn classical ballet techniques and terminology. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum is based on a combination of the French and Cecchetti methods as students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.  Advancement is based on physical and intellectual grasp of the material. Beginning levels are offered. Ballet levels III – Advanced register for multiple days of class. For upper-level students, pointe work is optional but strongly encouraged.

Instructor placement is required for this class.  Beginning pointe class can be taken on flat or in pointe shoes at the instructors discrection. All pointe classes are designed for students with previous ballet training. Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises, center floor work and across the floor combinations. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

This vibrant dance form with street roots focuses on precision, isolation, rhythm, and coordination to create arresting movement.  Class have three levels.  Advancement is placed based upon ability and experience.  Note:  Kiddie Hip Hop is for dancers age 3-6.

  • Jazz sneaker or High Top Shoes (Specifically for Dance Class)

With buffalo steps, maxi fords, shim shams and tack annies; tap is as fun as it sounds!  Age-based classes will give your feet wings in this classic American dance form.

  • Black Jazz pants or Black Booty Shorts

  • Black Leotard or Solid black camisole

  • Black Tap Shoes (From Turning Pointe. Brands from Payless tear up the dance floor.)

There are 4 different levels for Jazz.  Jazz class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway, Street and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. As students progress through each level curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate.

  • Black leotard, black sports bra, and/or black camisole
  • Black jazz pants, black leggings, and/or black ‘booty shorts”
  • Black and Tan jazz shoes (no laces)

Blending practices from yoga, Pilates and more; this class focuses on strengthening, flexibility, and core training needed to further the students dance technique.  Turns and leaps will be the focal point of the training.

Lyrical is a style of dance that uses the emotion and mood of the music to elicit movements from the dancers. Students have a warm up focusing in core strength, flexibility, and movement of the back. The class includes floor work, progressions, and center combinations.

  • Black leotard and/or black camisole
  • Black jazz pants, black leggings, and/or black ‘booty shorts”
  • Tan/Nude lyrical half shoes

Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is defined by its athletic character, its unique choreography, which seamlessly blends dance and acrobatics, and its use of acrobatics in a dance context. It is a popular dance style in amateur competitive dance as well as in professional dance theater and in contemporary circus productions such as those by Cirque du Soleil. This is in contrast to acrobatic, artistic and rhythmic gymnastics. Acro dance is known by various other names including acrobatic dance and gymnastic dance, though it is most commonly referred to simply as acro by dancers and dance professionals.
